Our teaching this week brought us to the final Sunday in Acts: Season II. Saul's story is an incredible one – and one that can remind us of God’s faithfulness. That we are in relationship with a God who is still acting today. If you missed this week, or any part of our most reason Acts series, you can always catch up on our YouTube channel.
Sunday Set List
God Is So Good
Hallelujah For The Cross
My Jesus I Love Thee
Amazing Grace / I Have Decided
Coming up this Sunday, we’re looking forward to welcoming our friends from Teen Challenge. We so value or partnership and friendship with Teen Challenge, and this week will give us the chance to learn more about their work, and how we at Lewisville can be a support. As always, we’d love to see you in person on Sunday – either at 915am or 11am each week.
Following the Sunday with Teen Challenge, we’re headed right into the lead up to Easter with a new teaching series. We’re also looking forward to joining with two sister churches for a combined Good Friday service at the Moncton Wesleyan. More details are coming, but we hope you’re planning to be with us this season.
AGM and 50/50/50
Thanks to all who came up to our (rescheduled) AGM this past Sunday evening. We heard from Matt after his first (almost) year with us as Lead Pastor. Jeff updated us on new communication initiatives including a new website set to launch soon. And our Elders Team introduced the 50/50/50 campaign – a targeted approach to getting our budget back on track in 2024.
What does 50/50/50 mean? With the budget gap that we currently have, if 50 people were to commit to $50/weekly for the next 52 weeks, we would meet our required budget numbers. While we know that is not financially possible for everyone, we also know that there are some families who may be able to consider giving more. Our hope is that each of us will prayerfully consider what we can give that will assist as we work diligently to reframe and reposition our budget.
If you’d like to jump in and participate in 50/50/50 the steps are simple:
Tuesday is our first official Big Small Group – happening from 7-830pm here at the church. We have dozens of folks who have already signed up, and we’re looking forward to this important time of learning together. If you’d like to come check it out, but haven’t already signed up, we’d still love to see you there.
Big Small Group will be running weekly, Tuesdays at 7pm, for the next three months.
Our first seniors’ event was a great success! Dozens of people got together for community, a light lunch, and to learn from our very own Karen Candy. This new group is an exciting addition at Lewisville and we’re looking forward to our next event next month. We'll be meeting on Wednesday, March 20 at 10:30am. See you then!
Hold onto your hats because Lewisville Youth has a double whammy of awesomeness for March Break. First, gear up for the 'Camp In' on March 2-3, where more time means more adventures and stories to tell. Then, 'One Big Day' on March 9 from 9 AM to 9 PM - a full day of surprises, connections, and pure joy.
For information about our big March Break week, coming up soon, visit our website, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, or reach out directly to Josh.
Congratulations to Isaac MacLean who recently had a number of major achievements in track and field.
