Culture Code: Pupils

This week we kicked off our Culture Code series, exploring what it means to be apprentices of Jesus. While we may be using new language and visuals to describe what this practically looks like, it’s always been value for us as a church. We had a little fun looking back and highlighting some examples of how we’ve intentionally tried to become more like Jesus over the years.

Food Pantry

Sunday is also your time to drop off items for our Food Pantry. Thanks for your donations - remember, we'd especially love to see some of the following: canned meat (chicken and ham), rice, granola bars, fruit bars, can openers (used is fine too!).

A Royal Evening

Our Kidsville Families had an AWESOME time at the official Kidsville Coronation this past week.  Our royal subjects enjoyed food, games, prizes and so much more! This was a celebration of the end of this term of Kidsville Plus, and they went out in STYLE! While we’re sad that Wednesdays are done for this term, stay tuned for exciting info on summer programs for kids!

Family Dinner - this Sunday!

Have you dug out your favourite family recipe?  Plans for your best casserole all in place? Because Family Dinner is THIS Sunday and we want you to bring your best dish to share! On April 14 at 5pm, we’re getting together for our THIRD Family Dinner – how awesome is this new tradition? We've got dessert covered, so we need you to bring the main dishes and sides.  Got it? See you Sunday night.  Come hungry!

GoldTimers

Our April GoldTimers is event is going to be a good one! We’ve invited friends from RCMP Community Policing to come give a talk on avoiding scams and ways you can protect yourself. This month’s event is on April 17 (next Wednesday!), and things get started at 10:30am. Following the presentation a light lunch will be served. Contact Andrea to let us know you’re planning to attend, or sign up in person on Sunday morning.

First AND Next Steps Class: May 5

We’ve seen a lot of new faces join our community this year, and we’d love to invite you to lunch and our First and Next Steps event, happening on May 5 after the 11am service. We'll all be together for lunch, and then we'll split into two groups for our First and Next Steps tracks. Our First Steps track is a way to meet and welcome new people to the church, so you can learn a little bit about who we are - and we can have the chance to meet you! Our Next Steps track will walk you through everything you need to know about being part of the community at Lewisville. Membership, Baptism, Communion, Giving, Serving, Spiritual Gifts - we cover it all. Both tracks are happening at the same time, so if you're interested in either, plan to be there on May 5. Baptism and Child Dedication: May 12

Child and Family Dedication
We love seeing our families grow at Lewisville! On Sunday, May 12 we’ll be hosting a child and family dedication – giving parents the chance to commit to raising their children in the way of Jesus, AND giving our congregation the chance to commit to praying for these kids and families. If you’d like to take part – fill out this form.

Have you made a decision to follow Christ and you’re ready to take the next steps toward Baptism? That Is Awesome! Do you have questions about Baptism and want to know more about what it involves? That is Awesome TOO! We’re holding a baptism service on May 12, and we’d love to include you! Let us know by filling out this form.

Hall of Famer!

A big congratulations to Grant Odishaw who is being inducted into the Curling NB Hall of Fame during a special ceremony on May 4. Grant is a highly decorated curler, winning multiple provincial championships including Men's Provincials, Mixed Provincials and Senior Provincials - including a silver medal finish at the Brier in 2000 and a Bronze in 2002!
