Culture Code: Peacemakers

The Peace of God is more than just the absence of conflict. So what does it mean for His people to pursue Shalom? What does the Wholeness of Jesus look like in our day to day lives together? Continuing our Culture Code series in which we explore the things we’ve been as a church, what marks us today, and who we’re aspirating to be, this week we dug into what it means to be Peacemakers who pursue the wholeness of Jesus together.

Our Next Steps event is just a few weeks away – have you signed up?
 
As a friendly reminder, this event is designed to help you get to know Lewisville a bit better. After we have lunch together, we’ll be splitting into two groups:

• Our FIRST STEPS track is designed for folks newer to our community, and gives you a chance to learn a bit more about who we are.
• Our NEXT STEPS track will walk you through everything you need to know about being part of the community at Lewisville. Membership, Baptism, Communion, Giving, Serving, Spiritual Gifts - we cover it all.

 All of this is happening on May 5 following the 11am service.  Lunch will be served.  Please sign up to let us know you’re coming!

Baptism and Child Dedication: May 12

We love recognizing major milestones with our community, and on May 12, we have two reasons to celebrate. We are going to be hosting a child and family dedication, AND supporting folks who have decided to be baptised! Super exciting, and we can’t wait.

Kamp Kidsville

Kamp Kidsville is back this summer – happening Wednesday, June 26 to Friday, June 28 for kids Grades 1 to 6 (in fall 2024) This camp is FREE but you need to register to reserve a spot! Sign-up here to kick off the summer at Kamp Kidsville.

Practicing The Way

Hey Students - Practicing the Way starts up this Wednesday! In the final installment of our DEEPER series this year, we'll delve deeper into practicing the way of Jesus together. Over 6 weeks, we'll explore fasting, an ancient discipline that integrates our whole selves into life with God. Open to all students, Wednesdays from 6-8pm at the church. If you have any questions, reach out to Josh.

Pre-authorized giving through automatic withdrawal is the simplest way to join in on this weekly campaign. Fill out the form online, or connect with the Church Office to set up your direct contribution each week.

If you’d rather give directly each week you can:

• Give through EFT to office@lewisvillebaptistchurch.com
• Give in person during one of our Sunday morning services, or at the church office from Monday-Thursday
